Apple Watch Siri Recap vs Amazon Bee: Which AI Memory Is Better?
Amazon's Bee is not the only "AI that listens and summarises" on your wrist. Apple announced Siri Recap for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 in September 2026. If you already own (or plan to buy) an Apple Watch, it is Bee's most direct rival.
What Siri Recap does
- Creates high-level summaries of conversations — not transcripts.
- Opt-in, and you can set it to listen on a schedule (for example, only at work) or switch it from Control Center.
- Live Rewind, a sister feature, shows the last 15 seconds of speech as text when you double-press the Digital Crown, with an audible chime.
- Both arrive as a beta later in 2026, starting in English.
How Apple processes audio
Audio goes to the Secure Exclave on the Watch and iPhone, is turned into condensed text, and the text goes to Apple's Private Cloud Compute to write the summary. Apple says audio is not recorded or stored and that it cannot access the data. Summaries are deleted after 7 days unless you save them; saved ones sync end-to-end encrypted via iCloud.

Which should you choose?
- You live in Apple's world and want light recaps: Siri Recap — no extra device, no subscription.
- You want structured notes, to-dos and integrations, or you use Android: Bee.
- You want transcripts or recordings to check exact words: neither — look at Plaud.
