Plaud vs NeoSapien Neo 1: Which AI Note-Taker to Buy in India?

• Plaud is a recorder first: it keeps the audio, then transcribes and summarises it.
• NeoSapien Neo 1 is a memory assistant first: it processes conversations into summaries, to-dos and reminders, and does not keep long-term audio.

Price in India

• Plaud NotePin S: ₹19,990 at launch. Plaud Note Pro: ₹20,990 at launch, seen at ₹16,990 in sales. Older NotePin around ₹13,990.
• NeoSapien Neo 1: MRP ₹15,999, often ₹11,999–13,499.

Add Plaud's optional paid plan if you need more than the free monthly minutes. Neo 1 has no subscription.

Languages

Plaud advertises 112+ languages; NeoSapien claims 100+ Indian and global languages, and markets itself on Indian-language support. Neither publishes accuracy figures for Hindi, Hinglish or regional languages — test with your own meetings during the return window.

Hardware

• Neo 1: ~20 g pendant, Bluetooth LE 5.0, USB-C, 2–3 day battery, double-tap active/sleep, no water resistance.
• Plaud NotePin S: clip or wear as a pin. Note Pro: card that sits on your phone, 4 mics, up to 50 hours of recording.

Which should you buy?

• Plaud if you need the recording itself — interviews, lectures, legal or medical notes you may need to check word-for-word — or you record phone calls (Note Pro).
• Neo 1 if you want an affordable daily memory with no monthly fee and value an Indian company's support.

Where does Amazon Bee fit? Bee Frontier ($74.99) and Bee Eclipse ($99.99) are cheaper, but they delete audio after processing and are not sold in India yet. See Amazon Bee vs Plaud.
